Tungsram is one of Europe's oldest and most storied lighting manufacturers, originating the tungsten filament lamp technology in Budapest in the early 20th century. Today Tungsram produces LED lamps, automotive lighting, and smart lighting systems at its Budapest and Győr facilities, selling to automotive OEMs and the professional and consumer lighting replacement market across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Tungsram is majority-owned by a Hungarian investor group since GE's divestiture.
