Spices Board India, established in 1987, is the Indian government body promoting the export of Indian spices. The Board certifies and facilitates export of black pepper, cardamom, ginger, turmeric, chilli, and other spices from Kerala and other spice-growing states. Kerala pepper is world-renowned as Malabar black pepper, the gold standard of the spice trade.
