About
Eni's Mozambique operations centre on the Coral South FLNG project in Area 4 of the offshore Rovuma basin, the first floating liquefied-natural-gas facility in Africa, producing approximately 3.4 million tonnes per year of LNG from the world-class Coral gas field. The project, operated by Mozambique LNG1 Company (a JV between Eni, ExxonMobil, CNPC, Galp, KOGAS, and ENH), began commercial LNG deliveries to European and Asian markets in 2022. The Rovuma basin's 85-trillion-cubic-feet reserves make Mozambique one of Africa's largest natural-gas exporters.
